Upper East Side
The diverse area between Lakewood, Deep Ellum, Arts District, Henderson and Greenville includes many historic and new neighborhoods like Munger Place, Peaks Addition, Junius Heights, and Bryan Place. This area slated for redevelopment is the upper east side of east Dallas. Some of this city’s greatest history and citizens are from this neighborhood and there is a fabulous assortment of one-of-a-kind ethnic and specialty grocery stores. Referring to it as Lakewood seperates locals from newcomers. With the addition of new mixed-use developments in the works, some thought it would be a good idea to call it Uptown East.
