Old Town/Lake Highlands
This will be a fun entertainment district to watch. Old Town Shopping Center at the corner of Greenville Avenue and Lovers Lane and the surrounding offshoots strip centers has been quietly successful for decades. It was born from apartment development for the first wave of boomers - we hear “the Village” had lots of boogie night’s action. With the development of additional grocery stores and the light rail, many of the old apartments are now being torn down or converted to condos and lots of dirt is flying near there in Lake Highlands with new mixed-use properties.
