Lakewood

Despite recent redevelopment, Lakewood has plenty of architecture from the turn of the last century which we predict will remain.  More laid back than her favorite kissing cousin, Park Cities, pride and traditions run deep for the mix of families, singles and gay couples.  Bound by Gaston, Abrams, Mockingbird and White Rock Lake, the Lakewood neighborhood is a die-hard lake enthusiast and it’s situated 10 minutes to downtown. The choice of individually owned restaurants, boutiques and personal services has grown in recent years.  With plans for new mixed use developments near the lakes spillway, the neighborhood is coming into her own professionally speaking.  See also Upper East Side and White Rock Lake.
