Lakewood
Despite recent redevelopment, Lakewood has plenty of architecture from the turn of the last century which we predict will remain. More laid back than PC; her favorite kissing cousin west of central - pride and traditions run deep for the mix of families, singles and gay couples. Bound by Gaston, Abrams, Mockingbird and the Lake, they are die-hard lake enthusiasts given it’s just a few minutes walk or bike ride and it’s 10 minutes to downtown. The choice of individually owned restaurants, boutiques and personal services has grown in recent years.
