For more than 35 years, Jones’ legend has grown in Texas bluegrass and country circles as one of our state’s finest multi-instrumentalists. More than just re-hasher of traditional Scruggs-styled banjo playing, Jones has incorporated elements of everything from Charlie Christian to Prince, and has always been seen as “the guy who knew all of the cool licks.”
