Restraining Order Hearing
Rumor has it
Follow up regarding the demolition alert (story below) for the Oak Cliff Community Church. Despite the short notice, hopefully some of you will be able to attend a hearing today, January 21 at 4 pm at the George Allen Courthouse located at 600 Commerce Street in the court of the Honorable Judge Snelson in Ct-6B. Both the construction company and DISD have been served notice.
Reprise of story published on Intownmix December 17, 2009:
The Old Oak Cliff Conservation League announced a Demolition Alert. It was reported by Preservation Dallas that the Oak Cliff Christian Church now Adamson High School located at Tenth and Crawford Streets, built 104 years ago and one of the last old churches still remaining was going to be quietly torn down during the holidays while the children were on Holiday break which begins on Friday, December 18. Current plans according to PD by DISD is for the building to be torn down and replaced with a tennis court. They got their permit in a week? Are you kidding me?
