About Intown
Founded in 2006 and owned by Donna Harris Company LLC, Intownmix is a Dallas based Triple Bottom Line (3BL) national media company. Our profits are measured using three principles; Social Effectiveness (People), Environmental Impact (Planet) and Economic Sustainability (Profit). In 2009, Intownmix donated just over $230,000 in advertising and advertorials to non-profit arts and other organizations with limited budgets. If you are a member of a larger non-profit organization who is purchasing radio, television and print media, please let them know you would like a presence on Intownmix to support our effort to donate to non-profits who cannot afford advertisement.
Trusted by both professional artists and local business, the weekly e-blast celebrated for getting the inside scoop will continue with original writing and content. Tweets and shout outs are cool but your brand or story is more than a moment in time. While we populate the site, add features and work out the kinks; we’ll introduce you to a mix of characters who put the Big in Big D art, business, real estate and non-profit news! We’re in BETA, what’s your story?
The intownmix.com website features a home page for each of the business and entertainment districts and include · Downtown · Arts District · Park Cities · West End · Bishop Arts · Oak Cliff including Trinity Heights/North Oak Cliff and Kessler/Stevens · The Cedars including Southside on Lamar and Fair Park · Uptown · Victory · Design District including Trinity Design District, Market Center and the Design District · Turtle Creek · Oak Lawn · Knox · Old Town · Deep Ellum · Greenville Avenue · Henderson · Lakewood · Upper East Side · Midtown/Mockingbird · Preston Hollow/Bluffview · Stemmons Corridor · White Rock including Lake activities, Casa Linda Shopping Center and Old Lake Highlands · introducing Trinity River Dallas which will be found at http://www.trinityriverdallas.com.

WHO WE ARE?
Donna Harris, Owner/Publisher

Donna Harris created and launched Dallas’ first internet social lifestyle ezine in 2001 for the Uptown entertainment district. In 2006, Donna Harris Company LLC launched another first for Dallas - a Triple Bottom Line (3BL) media company. It was founded initially with a weekly ezine and joined in September 2009 by this website in beta. Intownmix is now an established Dallas based National (soon) Media Company that currently reaches 50 countries.
A 4th generation Dallasite and the 5th of 6 Children, Donna learned a few short years ago to stop waiting for someone to pass her the Ketchup! She earned a BA in Social Science from the University of Texas at Dallas and feels an ardor for cultures, subcultures and trends is perfect for anyone interested in accepting who they are, marketing, publishing or parenthood. Her journalism foray began in Junior High while writing about the social antics and goings-on of her Girl Scout troop for the Mesquite Daily News.
Prior to her work with the Uptown Association and PID which you can read about here, www.donnaharriscompany.com, she was a chronic volunteer and co-owned a private investigation company for 15 years. She doesn’t kiss and tell but just watch what you say about her. It wouldn’t take much to push her over edge and write a tell-all book about the who’s who of Dallas and Park Cities. She’s also highly suspicious of media companies, web and otherwise who don’t own up to who actually owns them....
Donna lives in Lakewood with her family; daughters, Kate and Ana and a husband who prefers his anonymity and who can blame him? They’ve patiently waited and bit their lips while she developed the site, networked and gained twenty pounds. She’s recently dropped 4 pounds and vows to look like her old self before too long.
Little did she know that speaking in third person from the back of the station wagon to get the attention of her late parents would actually come in handy in publishing and social networking on Facebook and Twitter. And in case you wondered - she writes exactly how she talks!

Jacqueline Padilla, Writing Intern
When you listen to the passion in Jacqueline’s voice for all things in town, it wasn’t hard to figure out she’s been to more restaurants and events than most people who’ve lived here their entire life. One would never know the urban aficionado actually lives in 817 (gasp) with her daughter Jocelyn. She attended DeVry Institute and is on her second academic career as a Fashion Marketing major at El Centro College in downtown Dallas. The world traveler who loves to dress up, was born in La Cieba, Honduras and became a genuine Naturalized Texan in 1995 and has the boots to prove it.
She’s tried many sports and finally settled on joining a women’s soccer league last year. Alas, by the third game she got red-carded for torn muscles and Jacqueline thinks this was a hint to stick with running which she does every day. The self proclaimed “sponge” says she is finally in the place in her life where she always news she had the potential to be and wakes up every day hungry to learn new things and to where tomorrow will lead her.
