Hip Shootout: Party Pics

Life in Lo-Fi

The exhibit turned out to be a party for guests who were professional photographers and who came to celebrate and shoot Dallas’ first cell phone photography exhibit, The Hip Shootout this past Saturday.  The exhibit was so well received by attendees and the administration of UTD, the exhibit has been extended through Tuesday, August 17.  The event was sponsored by Professor Greg Metz & the University of Texas at Dallas, Post-Op, Photopolus, Make Studio, Texas Sculpture Association and created by Donna Harris Company

Lifeinlofi.com, an online community of fans of iPhoneography gave a thumbs up in their review which you can read here.  The iPhoneography included a variety of shots including the protest of Westboro Baptist Church to Garden Shots and Inner City Life to pics depicting architecturaly significant buildings and elements.  Stay tuned, the exhibit will travel and be on view with new pics this fall.

Artists participating in the show were Mikki Mallow, Mike Salcido, Olivia Hamilton, Marty Yawnick, Hal Samples, Andrea Roberts, Ange Fitzgerald, Michelle Love, Donna Harris, Randy Potts, Steve Crozier, Marisa Henry, Ray Hand, Hampton Mills, Lisa Keith, Ellen Sabin, Lisa Bachman and Post Op, a post production company.
